Local Outreach

Outreach describes a fundamental principle of the mission of the church - we must reach out beyond ourselves. We believe that this involves both a local and a global effort in order to be obedient to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8). Local Outreach involves our personal responsibility to communicate the love of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ to our local community in obedience to God’s Word (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Community

We aim to be intentional in reaching out to our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we do that in several ways:

Relationship Building Evangelism - We encourage and train our church members to be intentional in developing relationships with family, friends and neighbors with the intention of lovingly sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. As a church, we try to provide helpful materials continual biblical teaching so that we as a church are thoroughly equipped to achieve our Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Street Corner Evangelism - We recognize that many people will never enter the doors of a true Bible teaching church, so we must go to them with gospel tracts, kindness and a loving smile. We avoid distasteful and unloving confrontation. Instead, we aim to reach out to our community and neighboring communities at times and locations where people gather so that we might lovingly share the truth of the gospel with them via tracts and often brief conversations.
