MABC Ministries

The true character of ministry is a servant's heart

AWANA is a children's ministry dedicated to helping parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve Jesus Christ. At MABC, caring and loving volunteers work closely with children 3 years of age through 6th grade in Cubbies, Sparks and Truth & Training groups. Each of these AWANA programs are age appropriate and designed to teach God's Word to children in their formative years, while providing an environment that is fun, interactive and safe.

MABC AWANA Clubs meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:15 PM and began September 16.

Our Awana leadership at MABC:

  • Commander: Nathaniel Weaver
  • Secretary: Kelly McQueen
  • Cubbies Director: Becca Watson
  • Sparks Director: Meghan Dickey
  • T&T Directors: Kasey & Suzy Ketterling
  • Games Director: Jason Cass

MABC Awana Schedule 2015–2016

Men's Ministries

Iron sharpens iron, and our Men's Bible Study here at MABC is focused upon helping men to know Christ, to discover our purpose in His Kingdom plan, to experience fellowship and friendship with like-minded men, and to be both inspired and better equipped to serve God in our homes, careers, community and our church.

Our current Bible study is on “The Humility of Christ ” and we meet weekly on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at the church. The study began September 23, 2015 and you can contact Ivan Smith or the church office at 459-2137 for more information.

Women's Ministries

Our MABC Womens' Ministries exist to equip women for wise living from God's Word, to enhance skills of leadership for doing good deeds in every sphere, to learn to love the family as instructed in Titus 2:3–5, and to look for opportunities to introduce others to Jesus. Our goals are that women are changed, the family is sheltered, and each woman knows she is valued by God.

Morning Book

This fall we offer two Bible studies: The first is starting, September 22 on Thursday Mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, at MABC, in the fellowship hall. We will be using the book: “Trusting God Even When Life Hurts” by Jerry Bridges. Join us for fellowship and encouragement as we learn together how to trust God. Contact Joy Beverly for more information.

Evening Book

The other Ladies' Bible Study will be on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Jerrilene Smith’s House. The fall study is “Facing Your Giants” by Max Lucado and will begin September 19th and run through November 14th. Please contact Jerrilene Smith for more information.

Young Adult Ministries

The MABC Young Adult Ministry is a gathering place for young adults; sharing the faith journey together. During this time each week, the group shares a Bible study, refreshments and conversation, as well as checking in with one another about life, family, relationships, and other pertinent topics. Our Young Adult Ministry is called YADS (Young Adults) and meets weekly on Fridays at 6:30 PM at the church. We are currently studying the Letter of Paul to the Galatians. If you have any questions, contact Kasey.

Youth Ministries

Montana Ave. Student Ministry exists to glorify God by building biblically maturing students through winning young people to Jesus Christ, building them up in the body, and equipping them for the work of service. (Eph. 4:11-13)

Please join us Sunday nights in the youth room from 6:00 to 8:00.
